Pillar Three
Atelier
Art, construction, music and making as ways of thinking and expressing.
A studio for thinking
In the Reggio Emilia tradition, the atelier is not an art room — it is a laboratory of ideas. A place where children use their hands to make their thinking visible. Paint becomes a language. Clay becomes a hypothesis. Music becomes mathematics.
Our atelierista (studio teacher) works alongside children, not directing but provoking — asking questions, offering materials, documenting the extraordinary ideas that emerge when young minds are given space and trust.

Creative spaces
Paint & colour
Easels, watercolours, natural pigments, large-scale murals — exploring colour theory through experimentation and joyful mess.
Construction & design
Woodwork benches, clay, wire, recycled materials — building three-dimensional thinking and problem-solving through making.
Sound & rhythm
Drums, xylophones, rain sticks, singing, body percussion — discovering pattern, tempo and the mathematics hidden in music.
Mixed media
Collage, printmaking, weaving, natural materials — combining textures and techniques to express ideas that words alone cannot.
“Creativity takes courage.”
— Henri Matisse
